question on weekly chart

SI 03-15

On a weekly chart with Nymex Energy/Metals ETH template selected, the bar starting 2/9 and ending 2/13 has a low of 16.710. On my tick chart the low of that week was 16.605 made on 2/11 overnight session.

Please advise.

The weekly chart will display RTH session range only? But if I select Nymex Metals/Energy ETH and apply an indicator like a vol profile, 24 hours of data will be used for that bar, though the bar will only display the RTH range?

Weekly charts are built off of Daily data. This daily data has a specified session template, in which the data is recorded, that is determined by the Data Provider.

Example -
CQG/Continuum uses RTH for the Daily data. This cannot be changed from the session template property in the Data Series...

If you used intraday data such as using 10080 Minute Chart to get a full week, the overnight data would be included and have this reflection of the different low price.

1) I setup a 10080 chart like you suggested, but each bar is not indicative of a full trading week. Each bar designates only 1 day.


2) Also, NT should not download data if it is stored locally? I connected to IQ, but for some reason they did not have trade data for CL or SI for trade date 1/20. I connected to CQG and downloaded the data successfully. I shut NT down and reconnected to IQ, but my tick chart had no data for 1/20 for SI. Once again, I received the same message I have been receiving for weeks,

"Error on loading chart data for SI 03/15 Nymex: E,Invalid symbol."

I have the tick data locally as confirmed in HDM.

Thanks for your reply.

You are correct, a 10080 chart will not work. This is a limitation.
what you can do is disconnect from your data provider, connect to Kinetick End Of Day (free), then reconnect to yoru data provider.
Daily data will not come from Kinetick in ETH and you can open a standard weekly chart.
