    Hello joemiller,

    Thank you for posting.

Below, I've included a link from our educational YouTube channel on Creating and Saving a Workspace:

And another link from our Help Guide on Managing Workspaces:

I have listened to the video and read the user guide link.

the concepts of save, save-as, open, etc are not rocket science.

yet I keep losing chart Images in work spaces.

are there any situations or special procedures of which I should be
aware to make the problem go away?

this has been going on for months.

        Thank you for your reply,

What methods do you use to close NinjaTrader?

The best option is to go to File > Exit > Yes to All when asked to save. This will ensure that any open charts are there next time you open NinjaTrader.

It's possible the last time the workspace was saved, it was with the chart windows closed. This often happens when right-clicking the NinjaTrader icon in the task bar and selecting "close all windows." What happens is Windows operating system closes all windows prior to NinjaTrader being able to save.

I look forward to your reply.

yes, I always do a ''File > Exit > Yes to All''.
although sometimes I click on the ''''X'' in the upper right hand corner of the control center window instead of doing the ''file > exit''. in which case I still then reply ''Yes to All'' when asked to save.

I seldom if ever close the chart windows.
I don't know where the NinjaTrader icon is in the task bar. I'm not even sure what the task bar is. is it the image shown in the attachment?.

            Hello joemiller,
            Thank you for your reply.

The task bar is the bar (usually at the bottom) of the primary screen in Windows that shows your active programs. What I was referring to is right clicking on the NinjaTrader icon and closing that way, which often results in NinjaTrader not saving the charts.

Based on what you're describing, you are saving the workspace correctly; I would expect the charts to be present when you open NinjaTrader.

Please write in to PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] Com to schedule a remote call with one of our support techs to investigate this further.

              thanks Eric.
problem is it happens to me randomly and only every few days. in addition it may be something I am doing wrong. so I will continue to monitor it with the help of the new info provided in this thread and will schedule a remote call if it happens again.
