Chart Won't Update

    Chart Won't Update

    Trying to get a live tick chart for ES 03-15.

    Using IB and Kinetick with the correct enabled data feeds (Level II Globex).

    When I create the chart it's correct as far as the last trade, but it won't update. The update time is set to 0.5 seconds.

    What am I doing wrong?

    If you switch the order connection, do you experience the same?

        Hello Jeff,

        The order that you connect to the two connections.

        The first connection will be listed first in the lower left hand corner of the Control Center.

        If you go to File > Disconnect and select this connection, do the charts update?

          Yes. That worked. Kinetick needs to connect first. How do I insure that when I start up NT?

            Hello Jeff,

            If you are using the Connect On Start Up feature the connections will connect in alphabetical order based on connection name.

            You will need to edit one of the connection's names so the Kinetick connection is listed first alphabetically.

            You can do this by going to Tools > Account Connections, selecting the connection and clicking Change. Then in the connection wizard clicking Next, editing the Name and clicking Next > Next > Finish.

            When connecting to Kinetick and your broker, you have some options...

            Connect to Kinetick first then to your broker. This setup will get all live and historical data from Kinetick, and still allow you to execute trades to your broker.

            Or, connect to your broker first, then to Kinetick, with historical data disabled on your broker. This will allow you to get live data from your broker, and all historical data from Kinetick, and will also use Kinetick as a backup.

              Wow, I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I really wish I had known this. Seems kind of like a bug and an odd workaround. This has cost me a bit of a headache trying to figure it out (and $7k). Buuut I'm not trying to be a complainer. Just saying. It should be posted somewhere.
