How to fix Multiple Data Series bars?

    Hi,

I read about how to mix 2 different Data Series (500 ticks and 800 ticks) to insert indicators of differents charts:

The point is when I fusion them, the property "Equidistant Bar Spacing" is not working to put it on True mode, just cause in False Mode ticks are deformed I need to see the chart with the same distance betwenn bars, a normal one.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you so much ^^

    Hello noyss,

    Thank you for your post.

This is expected as tick charts are time independent, so the bars are formed at different times. NinjaTrader shows the bars at the proper times (as there is only one time axis on a chart regardless the number of panels) in which they were formed, and will not artificially move them to line up with another data series as that would be incorrect data.

You can however change the bar spacing and bar size (use the data series icon in the chart toolbar) for each respective data series to see if that assists with bars appearing to overlap.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Could we at least get it to be equidistant on one panel?

        Hello,

Unfortunately not with these types of series.

In a chart that has more than 1 series regardless of which panels they are in, if the series types are not the same, the Time axis would not be relevant for 1 of the series which would be not correct reporting of data.

When you add a panel to the chart, it is only that, there is no additional time axis added in order to be able to independently control the equidistant bar spacing.

Please let me know if I may be of additional assistance.

technically you could have one as a "base" and the other would be all messed up (but I wouldnt care), time is only a variable that could work in function of other variables. I don't see why the software is unable to do so. It is absolutely possible from a logical/coding stand point.

            Hello,

Yes logically that makes sense but unfortunately that is not how the platform was designed.

I will submit this as a feature suggestion but currently there is no way to do this.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

That's fine thanks anyway for your help Jesse. Was trying to plot a 1 min SMA on a tick chart, really frustrating not being able to do something as simple as that. Appreciate the response tho.
              Thx bud
