SetStopLoss() generates SLM order instead of STP

    Hello,

is there a way to generate STP order instead of Stop Limit one using SetStopLoss() in strategy?

Sometimes TWS shows my stop loss (SLM) order that it can be triggered during trading hours, can that be a problem with its execution?

    Hello fLife,

    (edit)
Yes, in the managed approach to submit a sell stop limit order call ExitLongStop().

To submit a buy stop limit order call ExitShortStopLimit().

In the unmanaged approach to submit any order SubmitOrder() would be used with the corresponding OrderAction and OrderType.

Regarding the issue from TWS orders (unable?) to trigger. The order is showing in TWS correct? If so, I would ask Interactive Brokers about why the order is unable to trigger. It might be the TIF (Time in force) setting.
