Strange message....

    Strange message....

    First of all what is Ninja Continuum? Is that free data?

    I have installed a connection with Ninja Continuum but now, when I want to connect to Continuum or want to make another connection (for example with my broker), I get this message:

    "Login failed: Cbi. Connection. Failed to call Idapter. Connect."

    and then in Dutch (but I wil translate it here): 'The type-initialisationfunction for <Module> has made an exception"

    What does this total strange message mean?

    NInjaTrader Continuum will provide you with Futures Contracts and Index data. We do have a free demo account that you can request at the link below:

    Also, that is strange message, please send me your log and trace files for today so that I may look into what occurred.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.

    Please put 'ATTN Riley' in the body of the email.

      Hello Riley,

      Thanks for your replay. The problem is solved, I think: I had and old License-key but used also the NEW continuum key. I think this made a conflict so I replaced the old License-key with the new license-key that I also got this morning. Removed and replaced the Continuum-connection and restarted; everything working fine now.

      Some more questions:

      1) So is this Continuum-connection always giving me free data? (so NOT a trial for some time...)
      2) When I take Ninja as my broker, are the costs for the real-time platform (to connect live with my broker Interactive Brokers and to place orders directly from Ninja) lower or even free?

        Glad to hear that you are up and running.

        1. It just depends on if you have a demo account or not. Demo accounts are free to use, but have 3 week expiration. Also, rates for data just depends too.

        2. Also, that would be a good question for our brokerage

          Thanks Riley.

          1) I have a SIM-account. Does that mean my Continuum-data cancels over three weeks???
          2) I will calll / email the brokerage-support

          3) Do you now how long Ninja is active as a BROKER?
          4) Is there a deposit-waranty like Interactive Brokers has in case of a "2008-crash"...

            1. Yes, the data will report an error after three weeks of trial, and if you needed more time, you could request another demo account.

            For questions, 2, 3, and 4, please contact the brokerage with those.
