Entry Bar happening too late

Learning to use strategy analyzer

I want my entry to be when price crosses above my ATR trailing stop indicator but it waits till the bar actually closes above my indicator

I unchecked calculate on bar close in the strategy wizard

The input series in the strategy wizard is set to close - I am not sure if that has an effect

Thank you for the question.

This is related to how the analyzer works.

If you run this on a chart with exactly as you have it now, you should see the desired result of when the CrossAbove happens, even intrabar it will be true.

In a backtest, it will always be on the close of the bar.

Intrabar granularity would be needed for this to work correctly in a backtest but this would be an item that can not be added using the wizard its self, you would need to manually code the strategy to add intrabar granularity.

Can tick by tick be done running a strategy in market replay

Hello,

Yes you can do tick by tick in the replay mode, and yes you can use Strategies in replay.

When you are running in replay mode, keep in mind that 1X speed would be the most accurate as the higher the speed bars will be skipped to accommodate the speed.
