    IQFeed connector keeps crashing Ninja

I'm a Kinetick sub but per NinjaTrader support recommendations in the past I am using the IQFeed connector. Recently I'm experiencing a lot of crashes on my dev system. Here are some screen grabs.

    Log:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
    Application Name: NinjaTrader.exe
    Application Version: 7.0.1000.26
    Application Timestamp: 543d3b02
    Fault Module Name: StackHash_4511
    Fault Module Version: 6.1.7600.16385
    Fault Module Timestamp: 4a5be02b
    Exception Code: c0000374
    Exception Offset: 00000000000c6cd2
    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.4
    Locale ID: 1033
    Additional Information 1: 4511
    Additional Information 2: 4511f08e59ae511670541108fe50274f
    Additional Information 3: b2d4
    Additional Information 4: b2d4bda19867a230eae9beb324596472

This keeps happening quite a bit recently and seems to be caused by the IQFeed connector crashing and taking Ninja with it. The underlying cause are temporary disconnects which I've given up on trying to resolve.

      Hello molecool,

      Thanks for your post.

Does this occur if you run NinjaTrader with a new workspace that has no custom scripts applied?

I don't know, Brandon - I don't run NinjaTrader as a hobby, I use it for running commercial strategies. In the past few weeks you guys keep coming back with that question in various crash scenarios - is that a new thing? WADR it's a specious question as nobody runs (and pays for a license) just to run NinjaTrader in vanilla state without any scripts. So who knows? Maybe yes, and maybe no. Odds are that scripts will always exacerbate the memory and data problems NT7 has been suffering from for years now.

All I know is that it keeps crashing lately out of the blue and it's happening in the context of data outages.

          Hello molecole,

          Thanks for your reply.

This is an important step to see what the cause of the crash is. The files and screenshots you have sent in/posted recently have not given us the information to determine the cause. It is suspected that this is related to a custom script and this would be verified by testing with no scripts loaded. If this is good then you would need to find which script is the cause and narrow down in the code specifically what about the script is causing the crash for this to be looked into.
On my end, I do not have NinjaTrader crash with a lost connection to IQFeed.

I dunno mate - the Windows event logs are pretty clear about the IQFeed adapter running out of memory. Did you see it below - it amassed 500MB and then ran out and crashed. I think it's an adapter problem. I have now switched to the Kinetick adapter - let's see how that goes.

              Hello molecool,

              Thanks for your reply.

I have not been able to replicate this with the IQFeed connection.
I would need a reproducible scenario.
You may also want to test with the latest version or IQFeed. Note however this has not been tested on our end but IQFeed has reported some fixes with the latest version.
