2 min charts for trading session starts at 9:15 am

Hi,

I am trading the Hang Seng index futures using 2 min charts. First session of Hang Seng futures starts at 9:15 am to 12:00 pm. Second session starts from 1:00 pm to 4:15 pm. There would be one candle in the morning session that would be a 1 min candle because it starts at an odd number minute. Ninjatrader do it this way: All 2 min candles are actually 2 min candles except the last one - which is a 1 min candle.

Somehow, I need the chart to do it the other way around (for the first session) only to matched my IB charting:

First session:
1) The first candle is a one minute candle.

2) All others candle

The second session:
1) All candles are 2 min , except the last one is a 1 min candle.

Please advise how to do it.

Massage the starting time of the Session Template, to align it as you wish.

Thank you for your post.

There would not be a way to do this without as koganam suggested using a Session that would start and end at times to produce a 1 Minute starting candle on the open for a 2 minute chart. So a Session Template in NinjaTrader that started at 9:15 AM and ended right after at 9:16 AM and then began again at 9:16 AM and then continued to the close. This would force this first two minute bar to a one minute bar.

I created a session template twhich one minute earlier than the actual session start time. And it works. Thanks for both of your help!
