How do I combine windows as tab?

Hi,

I usually open up 3 different chart windows; TF 15M, TF 60M and TF 240M.
Is there a way to combine these 3 windows as one window but separated as tab
like the chrome browser?

Thank you for your inquiry. In NinjaTrader 7 this is not possible, however this feature has been included in NinjaTrader 8. You can find a list of all major enhancements in NinjaTrader 8 here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/downloads...njaTrader8.pdf

NinjaTrader 8 is currently in beta testing, but as soon as it is released all current NinjaTrader 7 license holders will receive access.

Just checked out the documentation and unfortunately the feature you are requested does not appear to be available. I reviewed: https://ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt8/en-us/using_tabs.htm and it makes no mention of NinjaTrader_MichaelIM's suggestion that it's in NT8.

So this should be a feature request for next release of NT.

The tabbed Chart Window feature is available and has been for some time in NinjaTrader 8. However, it is dependent upon the License Key that you have.

I'm happy to check into this with you if you would please email us at PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com. In your message please include a link to this forum thread, ticket number 2138987 and a message 'ATTN Sergey'.

Additionally, please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

The User Guide clearly covers all items related to the platform. The User Guide offers no information about taking individual tabs and merging them into a single window as requested by the original user (first post).

You can see that there is no way to take individual chart tabs in different windows and merge them into one of the two windows (essentially a drag and drop of a tab out of its existing window into a new window, or, right click and specify that you want to move it into a different window). Today, its clearly not part of the UI to have this feature. NT8 needs to update their interface to allow for such.

The ability to drag and drop NT8 chart tabs between existing chart windows will be a huge time-saver and convenience, eliminating a lot of re-creation of work when reorganizing charts and workspaces. Add my vote for priority development of tab drag and drop (Duplicate, Move) between existing chart windows.

Any news about this upgrade?.
I also consider this is very useful for managing Charts efficiently. It's nonsense you can put apart tabs but not arrange them together on the same window.
