Instrument is not supported by the repository ERROR (yes I read previous threads)

Hi there,

so I am trying to import an NTD file called "20141103.Last.ntd".


and I get the error " Instrument is not supported by the repository".

1. The file is located in the C:\Users\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\minute\ABEV folder
2. of course it is in Instrument Manager.

I am stumped! I just successfully imported some data about two weeks ago!


Yes I also did read previous threads on "Instrument not supported by the repository " found no information that could solve my problem.




Please help.

Thank you for your post.

You cannot import .NTD data, you would have to just place it in the correct folder of the directory.

I have of course read the guide.

I am trying to import the ticker symbol JCP (stock) , for 18 Nov 2014:

• It is listed in the Historical Data Manager
• but when I pull up the chart the furtherest it goes back is 31/12/2014
• In the Data Series specifications the Start Date is 30/10/2014

strange.???

Right click in your chart, and select Data Series. What are the DaysToLoad set to?

My apologizes as you already answered this when you stated the start date was set to 30/10/2014.

Can you provide the file you have imported or placed in your directory?

No I cant, because it says "invalid file type when I try to attach it"
