    Slippage on SIM101

    Hi there,

When simulating on the DAX using SIM101 (or any sim account for that matter) my entries seem to be slipped hugely - much more so than when trading live.

Are the highlighted fields in the picture below the settings which control "simulated" slippage? and if so, are my values set perhaps too high? what are the defaults??

    Hello michellepace,

The "Wait for data (secs)" is not related.

"Delay comm. (msec)" will simulate an delay when sending an order from your computer to the virtual exchange server. Default value is 75.

"Delay exchange (msec)" simulates delay of processing an order at the virtual exchange. Default value is 150.

I suggest to test lower values and check if you experience less slippage. Make sure you click Reset after you changed these values. Select the Sim101 account and click OK.

If you see no difference, I suggest to enable 'Enforce immediate fills' in the Options-->Simulator-tab.
