    Tick Charts Not Working

    I downloaded the demo, connected to the Kinetik data feed. Here are some screenshots how I am trying to set up the chart and what I am getting. Thanks!

    Hmmmm

    If you right click on the chart and select "reload all historical data".. are you good then? (I remember having this issue)

            Don't understand what could be going wrong here, I didn't change or tweak anything in the program. Just trying to get tick charts, what gives? Is that not something supported on the demo? Can I only get tick data from Kinetik after a certain time? This is pretty annoying, seeing as I am getting emails to sign up to use your brokerage already and I can't get charts to work.

              Hi, thanks for your reply.

              The Kinetick End-of-Day connection is only going to provide you with end-of-day data for supported instruments, meaning you can only chart time intervals of Daily or higher using it.

              If you would like real-time tick data for the ES as you have pictured, you can sign up for our real-time Futures data demo here:

                    The demos last for about 3 weeks.

                      Hi,

                      I just signed up for a futures demo account and have found I have a somewhat similar problem. I can see that I'm connected to NinjaTrader Continuum and can get the chart to load just fine, but the charts don't update. I can get updated historical data if I R-click the chart and choose "Reload All Historical Data" but I haven't yet managed to get the data "flowing."

                      Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

                        Hi Sniff, thanks for your post.

                        First, make sure you are rolled over to the most current front month for whichever instrument you are plotting:

                        Then, reset your instruments and see if you experience the same. To reset your instruments: disconnect from any active connections (via the Control Center > File > Disconnect menu), then from the Control Center, navigate to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'. Afterwards, restart NinjaTrader and then test for the same issue.

                          It worked! Thank-you so much, Alex! It's been about 3 years since I last watched the NinjaTrader webinars and now that I'm getting back into trading, I guess I'd better revisit those videos....
