Removing the "more to the right" arrow

    Hi guys,

NT has a black arrow in the top right of the chart area when there is more data available to the right. This turns white when there is no more data.

However, in a bull market, the arrow overwrites or otherwise prevents you from clearly seeing the bars underneath, since naturally the bars are now at the top right.

Is there any way of removing this arrow?

(Ideally I think it should overlay the Y-axis instead of the charting area.)

    thanks

    Rick

      ???

Are you replying to the right post Drew?

Why would you need to see my log and trace files? I'm asking about whether a feature is available, not reporting an error.

        It sounds like an error.
Mine doesn't turn white, but clear with a black outline.

          Hello,

          Thanks for your reply.

My apologies, I believe you are correct in that this reply was indeed intended for a separate forum post.

There would not be a way in which you can remove this feature from the chart. However, you could manually adjust the scaling of the y-axis to move these bars back into view. To do this, left-click within the y-axis of the chart and drag your mouse up or down.

More information can be found at the following link:

            To be clear;

Is it possible to switch off this arrow or re-position it? The arrow doesn't overwrite the bars exactly although it gets very close but it does overlap any drawing objects I add.

I find it intrusive - I'd like to see a clean chart. Is this possible?

            thanks

OK Drew - I didn't see your last reply before I posted.

Yes, I know about dragging the Y-axis and this is what I am doing at the moment but this then distorts my bar height which I dislike.

              Thanks anyway

An arrow box next to the "F"ixed box in the Y axis would solve it and be quite handy.

Why not just increase your right margin to get it out of the way?

                    Hello,

Thank you, koganam. You raise an excellent option as a work around.

You can increase your right side margin to put a 'gap' between the last bar and the y-axis. You can access this setting by right-clicking within the chart and selecting "Properties". Inside this menu, increase the value for "Right side margin".

Because I am analysing the market blind. I don't want to advance to the next bar until I'm ready to. Advancing to the right reveals what I want to remain hidden until I've formed my opinion.

                        Sorry, I misunderstood your reply.

Thanks Koganam - that is a nice workaround.
