This is the third time that I have lost several months of charting data using NT7. Indicators are not affected and remain in place.
All three times, I was using a single workspace with Global charts (45m, 15m and 1m chart) with a single instrument. In all three cases I lost the data after observing the same peculiar incident: If I try to modify text on a chart, it will accept the change on that chart but won't change in the other global charts - as it's supposed to. I can continue on charting, nothing will appear wrong.
After this point if I shut down NT and restart it, I lose all chart data - all lines, text, drawing objects, etc.
The first time it happened I figured something was wrong with my computer; the second time, I decided to use the backup option. The third time was today and when I attempt a restore, it produces a prompt that restore was successful - but none of the data is actually retrieved. The restore file is approx 240 MB in size so I know there is data there, but I get no drawings back.
Any help would be appreciated as the lost data was quite valuable to me and I would like to know how to stop this from happening again. I love NT but this is a huge issue for me.
Thank you in advance,
MM.
Addition
Is it possible to keep making copies of the "GlobalChartObjects" folder to keep said data backed up?
Also is there a maximum amount of data that I am exceeding, prompting this issue?
