    Trust continuum or rithmic connection ?

    Hi,

    I get a continuum sim connection and a rithmic connection that I pay. I got different Futures data : as a result for the same code, I got different results in strategy analyzer.

    Which one should I trust ?

    How about looking into why you had different results.

      What instrument & expiry have you selected?
      What from and to date are you testing on?
      What type of chart data are you testing on? (example: 1 minute, 150 tick, 1 day)

        Hi Brandon,

        This guy is right! I am also experiencing different results when using different data provider... For example, as I had explained to ninjatrader support today, I noticed with continuum demo, there is a weird pause/lag in filling or closing orders. With rithmic demo, no such thing, though I do occasionally experience historical fills problem (e.g. missing candlestick in chart but no blank space there to show there is data omitted etc)?

        Also, when I attended a LIVE trading workshop with a 'mentor' and when all of us had the same tools (indicators and strategy) loaded, his orders would be triggered while the rest of us (who were not using Kinetick data provider like him) would not have orders triggered...



        ps: i do not know if the problem is specific to SIM/demo accounts, or if it will carry over to LIVE trading too... ok another problem is i think analyzer may show different daily data there cos the data provider have different cutoff times. Example, the daily low (for rithmic) is actually the low during RTH not for the whole day... i remember being very puzzled and making wrong calculations based on it before... just sharing.

          Thanks for your post.
          Your sim fills will be based on the setting under Tools> Options> Simulator
          You can check 'enforce immediate fills' if you want your sim order to fill immediately
          After making any changes select Reset
          Uncheck 'clear history' if you want to save your pst sim trades
          Test
          With live orders you will be filled per market conditions
