have to reload historical data twice

When open NT and connect to ZenFire the data loads but if I open another workspace that data is stuck from previous session. The weird part is I have to click reload historical data twice on each chart which is extremely annoying. Thanks, Tom

What NT version are you using (Help > About)?

        Thanks.

Can you clarify what is happening in a details step by step fashion? This will help me understand the behaviour you are seeing and attempt to reproduce here.

          1.open NT
          2.connect zen
3.workspace that is open is ok
          4. open a different workspace and the data is where it was last time NT was closed.
          5. so i click reload historical data and it flashes but nothing happens. click again and it refreshes. then go to next chart then the first and second charts flash but still have to click refresh twice to gert second chart to refresh and so on

            Thanks.

            So to clarify.

You open a workspace that for example, was open last time 1 week ago. As this workspace opens, the chart data is not reloaded to the current day. Thus, you right click in the chart and reload historical but you have to do this twice in order for it to work?

                  Hi chartlearner !

                  1) on which instrument does this happen ?
                  2) with which period type (e.g. 5 minute, 150 tick, 1 day) ?
                  3) are your timezone settings correct ?
                  4) when you open NT and right click on the chart, do the charts have the date of today, or is it a date from the past ?
                  5) when your chart flashes after the first reload, does it show nothing or the chart as it was before ?

                  Kind regards,
                  Christian

                    Hi chartlearner !

                    1) on which instrument does this happen ? ES/ EC but that is all i have
                    2) with which period type (e.g. 5 minute, 150 tick, 1 day) ? all--1,2,5,15 and 60 min
                    3) are your timezone settings correct ? ?
                    4) when you open NT and right click on the chart, do the charts have the date of today, or is it a date from the past ? Did not look but will try tomorrow but can only assume that it would be previous day that workspace was open. Regardless it will still happen even if I log off now and go back an hour later. It shows previous day
                    5) when your chart flashes after the first reload, does it show nothing or the chart as it was before ? The chart as it was before

                    Kind regards,
                    Christian

great! now we really need to figure out how I/we can get a daily chart with more than a couple weeks worth of data on it. I would be nice to have a continous contract as a choice. Like ES not ESM08. Thanks, Tom

Unfortunately, Zen-Fire does not support historical daily data as you can see in the link below.
                          http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ricalData.html

You can create a continuous contracts by using "##-##" as the expiry date in the Instrument Manager. However, this is only supported with eSignal and IQFeed and not Zen-Fire.
