Delete data from half holiday day

    Hello,

How can I delete the plotted half holiday day that is plotted on my chart? If I delete the data and press reload historical data it returns to the way it was before.

I couldn't find any help with the search button. I only found a thread from 2013 and someone mentioned that this would be possible in the next upgrade..

    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, hoilidays cannot be hidden within NinjaTrader 7. This is something which will be changing in NinjaTrader 8 (which is in beta) however no change is being made within NinjaTrader 7.

I hope that this helps to clarify however if other questions come up please let me know.

OK, BUT---when I go to tools>historical data manager>edit>ES 09-15>last>day>2015>and then delete 7/3/2015 it highlights it in RED and says STATUS EXCLUDED > save

Now when I open a NEW chart it opens it without the 7/3/2105 data as it should. However, when I open a template of a saved chart and try to reload Historical Data it still shows the holiday 7/2/2105 ??????

        Hello,

I don't understand what you mean by the holiday showing on 7/2/2015. Can you post an image of the output which you are seeing within the chart?

I said 7/3/2015 the July 3th holiday shortened trading day.

            Hello,

I understand that the holiday took place on the 3rd, however my question related to this part of your last post:
"when I open a template of a saved chart and try to reload Historical Data it still shows the holiday 7/2/2105 ??????"

Here are two screen shots showing the data deleted from Ninjatrader and a chart showing the data for 7/3/2015 still showing up on the chart.

                Hello,

It appears that only daily data is excluded in your image.

What behavior do you see in a standard daily chart? Is data for the 3rd included in the chart?

In a daily chart when I open a new chart it omits the 3rd as it should.

                    Hello,

Based on this you would need to exclude minute data from the 3rd within the Historical Data Manager's Edit tab.

LOL, yep I figured it out myself after your last response. It got me thinking about that exact point.

But, why did you initially answer it wasn't possible in NT7?
