Please describe your exact setup and if this is a new workspace or not. Try with a new workspace.

open a new workspace....create a 1000 vol YM chart....run the chart in MR...change interval to 3 min chart...even though Tools/Options/Data Daysback for min chart is default 3 you get a 4 daysback 3 min chart.....

run the chart from 930 thru 4 pm a couple of times (session times are 930 to 930)...check daysback and it is now 6....do this for a couple of hours and daysback is 17

Lookback period is maintained from current chart as you switch the period type. Defaults at Tools/Options/Data Daysback are irrelevant in that situation.

i also note that changing days and reloading my cs might make it increase daysback....

anyway, it always ends up with extra days just by normal use

LastDay will not change as you reload your NS files by F5.

right...i mean when you change days in MR...i.e. you disconnect from a day and the cs is removed from the chart...then you connect to another day and load the cs...

when you disconnect from a data feed...for instance, if you are running last thursday in MR, the cs (strategy) is automatically removed from the chart

when you connect to MR feed for last friday, the chart is empty...you load your cs...

i do not konw if this is directly related to increasing daysback, however it in something I do oftern to run a whole week to test a strategy

typically, if i just run the same day over and over...sometime changing the interval but maybe not...the daysback just increases

per my original post and this post, all you need to do is run a cs in MR and keep replaying it and check daysback from time to time...no special procedure....dont need to change intervals or change days

                          ok...it is related to connect/disconnect/connect.....

open a chart, connect MR to last friday...check daysback is 3....slide to end of data....daysback is 4....

disconnect from MR....connect to last thursday....slide to end of data....daysback is 5

adds a day every time you disconnect and connect

nothing to do with cs...just a plain chart

                            Hi ATI user !

                            > As of version 6.5.1000.2, MR bug is not fixed as stated in post ...

Bug has been fixed as stated in post you mentioned. This was a different use case (related to use of Format Data Series dialog).

The use case you reported recently (related to connect/disconnect) is fixed now, and the fix will be available with the next update.

                            Thanks for reporting,
                            Christian

here is another 'use case' I suppose

when in Market Replay and changing instruments from YM 12-08 to YM 09-08, my daysback changed from my default 4 to 25...which delays loading data of course

this happened in one of 2 charts only....the chart that went to 25 was running charttrader and nothing else...both charts are linked
