ES just changed Bars?

Hi Every1,

Hope ur having a good day.

I noticed that my ES chart has just changed and that it is now plotting the daily bars incorrectly, it looks like the bars are now starting at 6:00 instead of the normal midnight. Chart looks completely different from 1/2 hour ago. Please help.

Hello Chris,

Thank you for writing in. Please open the data series window of your chart by pressing CTRL + F on your keyboard. From the data series window, please select the ES data series in the lower left panel, then on the right panel, please look next to where it says "Session Template". Normally this would say "<Use instrument settings>" but you may have accidentally set it to something else. If you manually click the dropdown and select "CME US Index Futures ETH" and press Apply your chart should go back to looking normal.

You will also want to make sure in the NinjaTrader Control Center that Tools -> Instrument Manager -> Search for "ES" -> Select "ES" from the search results grid -> Press Edit -> make sure the "Session template" dropdown is set to "CME US Index Futures ETH" -> Press OK

Please let me know if the issue persists after trying the above.

Update

Ok,

Didn't really help much trying those things so here is a screen shot. Its really strange because it all of a sudden just decided to start doing this for no reason.

The sessions (daily bars) appear to be starting at 8:00 on the intraday chart.

To clarify, the default session times for the ES are as follows:

Sunday 5:00pm Central Time - Monday 4:15PM Central Time
Monday 5:00pm Central Time - Tuesday 4:15PM Central Time
Tuesday 5:00pm Central Time - Wednesday 4:15PM Central Time
Wednesday 5:00pm Central Time - Thursday 4:15PM Central Time
Thursday 5:00pm Central Time - Friday 4:15PM Central Time

Please try resetting your instruments:

1. Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center > File > Disconnect > Select your data feed

2. Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center > Tools > Options > Data tab > Reset Instruments >OK

3. Restart NinjaTrader > Connect (NinjaTrader Control Center > File > Connect > Select your connection
