Blank Stock Charts

Hey I am new on Ninjatrader.When I try to open a stock chart,it is always blank. I have tried to connect both to Kinetick and CQG but none of them show me stock charts. I also tried to set the Default 24/7 and delete the historical data but I had no result.Any help?

Thanks for your post.

First, CQG/Continuum does not support stocks (equities).

However, Kinetick does. Have you purchased a full Kinetick data feed or are you using the Kinetick End of Day Free connection?

The Kinetick End of Day (Free) connection provides end of day data (daily data) but does not provide tick or minute data for any instrument.

Kinetick does support equities, futures, forex, and indices.

Below is a link to the help guide on Historical & Real-Time Data. In the section 'Understanding the data provided by your connectivity provider' there is a chart that show the supported connection technologies and the types of data these connections support.

This means if you connect to Kinetick End of Day (Free) and open a daily chart for a stock this should load. Try an AAPL daily chart and let me know if this does not load.

Yes you are right about the Kinetick, it works. So if I want to see live data should I enable tick filtering?

Hello Joleto,

If you would like real-time data, you will need to subscribe to a real-time data feed or connect to a brokerage that provides real-time data.

The tick filter will filter out bad ticks if the data feed is sending ticks far outside of the traded prices. This will not enable real time data.
