Old ghost instrument persistent in DOM

I have an old instrument which is persistently remaining in the DOM's instrument drop down box. How do I remove this?

The old instrument is NOT showing up in the instrument manager too.

For example, I have the following in my DOM's instruments:

CL 04-11 <--- ghost
CL 09-15
CL 10-15
ES 09-15

CL 04-11 keeps hanging around and I cannot remove it.

Is CL 04-11 pinned? If yes, click on the pin to unpin it. Otherwise, hover your mouse over CL 04-11 and press the "Delete" key on your keyboard.

My solution

I'm not sure about the pin thing. I cannot find any pin near the DOM. I tried to delete it too but it remained. This is for NinjaTrader7.0.1000.29.

Open a SuperDOM
On the SuperDOM, select a different instrument other than the problem instrument.
Right Click SuperDOM
Properties
Set as Default

Now this did not remove it immediately from the old DOM. There is one step missing.

After doing the above, you must close the OLD DOM with the persistent ghost instrument and then reopen a NEW DOM for the instrument manager to refill it properly.

You are correct: Those are the steps to fix the issue in NinjaTrader 7 and thank you for adding that last crucial step.

To explain Ray's answer: I noticed after posting my response that this question is posted in the NinjaTrader 8 beta forums, and so the NinjaTrader 8 steps were given. The steps provided by Ray will only apply if you are using NinjaTrader 8.
