Ellipses expand when I renew activity

    Ellipses expand when I renew activity

    Often, when I work early on my trading, leave the computer for a bit, and come back to it to continue, as I restart trading activity, the ellipses that I drew over consolidation areas expand and make a mess all over the chart, well outside their original area.

    It looks like the image I've attached.

    Why does this happen?

    What can I do to avoid it?

    Which version of NinjaTrader are you using? To check, please click Help > About. Version is shown at the top of this menu in a 7.0.1000.X format.

    Which data provider are you connected to?

      NT Version and Data Provider

      I'm using version 7.0.1000.29, and my data provider is Ninjatrader Continuum.

        Thank you for getting back to me.

        I see that in the image which you provided originally you are connected to Market Replay. Just to verify, you also run in to this issue when connected to the live data feed provided through Continuum is the correct?

          I used to switch back and forth a lot, yes. I don't so much any more, but when this problem occurred, I believe I still did.

            Hello,

            Unfortunately, I don't totally follow. Are you able to recreate this issue today while connected to Continuum?

            If you are not, when did the issue last take place?

              I tried to replicate the problem just now, switching back and forth, and it did not result in the same problem. I have not had this problem since my first post, on the 9th of August. I have not used Market Replay since then, and the problem did not occur today, when I tried it.

                Please contact me by email at PlatformSupport [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com so that I may further investigate. In your message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of your trace file from the 9th.

                The trace file is found in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I will need a copy of the file which is named 'trace.20150809.txt'.
