NT7 windows 8.1 not working

Hi,

I just downloaded NT7 on a Windows 8.1 machine and installed it. Now when I want to start the NT7 I get the splash screen and then after a while a pop-up about the Youtube channel. When I click OK the program stops working.

Also when I say that the Youtube dialog should no longer be displayed, the same thing happens (but with no youtube pop-up obviously)

Any ideas?

Am I correct the "Documents" folder resides on a network drive? If so, please proceed as per the instructions at the link below to run NinjaTrader successful.

Hi Jason,

yes it is a network drive which is synced with the local My Documents folder. I cannot change this policy. The only option is to choose a different folder, which is not under the sync policy.
Would that be possible?

Unfortunately this is not supported. The NinjaTrader 7 folder needs to reside in the Documents folder.

This is what I would call a major design flaw. Normally these kind of files reside inside the %appdata% directory or the location should be at least configurable.

Well it is what it is and I hope it will be solved in a next version of the NT-program
