Demo account on different PC

Hi Support,

I've been testing my strategy using CQG demo account with ninjatrader brokerage on my loptop PC. however, when I try to do the same on my desktop PC using the same account log in details, I cannot get the price and charts, the contraol centres shows green and the ninja continuum is connected.

is it due to the license restriction? meaning one demo account can only be used on one machine? if so why the desktop PC ninja shows the account is connected?

also if I want to apply another demp account specifically for my desktop PC can I do that? I tried to apply another demo account but seems I can still only get connected on my laptop, same account credential cannot get connected to the price and charts. however the control centre always shows green and the ninja continuum is connected.
this is so confusing to me.

Thanks for writing in.

You most likely just need to ensure you are on the latest version of NinjaTrader and reset your instruments.
The current version is 7.0.1000.30
You can check your version under Help> About

To upgrade NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below.

Get your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key.
Exit NinjaTrader.
Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect.
Enter your license key and select 'Submit'.
Select 'Download'.
Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

To reset your instruments please follow the steps below.

Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Disconnect> Select your data feed.
Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center> Tools> Options> Data tab> Reset Instruments>OK.
Restart NinjaTrader> Connect (NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Connect> Select your connection.

Yes, you can have a second demo however for it to work the above steps would need to be completed.
