    tick chart bar spacing

I am putting indicators with different time frames on one chart. It works fine for day and minute charts, but when I put them on tick charts the bar spacing gets completely off.

Is there a setting you know of that can fix this?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

This is, unfortunately, an expected consequence of mutli-series charting. Because the two data sets must share one time scale, the bars must be plotted as they actually occurred in real-time as opposed to being neatly spaced as you would see in a single series chart. This is referred to as 'equidistant bar spacing' and will be the case on all multi-series charts, though the effect will be more pronounced when tick based intervals are used. While no workaround is currently possible this is something that development is working in to other ways of addressing in future versions of NinjaTrader.

      imalil.

Kyle already laid out why that's not possible. One way to deal with it is to open two charts and place them beneath each other so they are somewhat lined up. See attached. Top is a 5Min/15Min Data Series, bottom is a 500 Tick chart. Just a suggestion.
