DAX Future - InteractiveBrokers

Hi,

I have been working with this future for a long time without problems.

Today, when I started NinjaTrader + IB I received the next message: Error in requesting historical data from IB: The contract description specified for DAX is abiguous; you must specify the multiplier. (200).

This set up was working properly the last week. I am using NT: 7.0.1000.29 and TWS: 944.3

I attach the symbol map of DAX.

Has been made any change on this future?

I reinstalled NT but the error still continues.

Hello Plaket

Can you please proceed as follows. Disconnect IB and go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager. Highlight the FDAX in the 'Available master instruments' section and click Edit. Select the Misc-tab and change the symbol map for IB to "DAX|||25" without quotations. Click OK.

Remove and re-add the FDAX 12-15 to your instrument list now that it has different settings. Instructions can be found at the link below.

Click OK in the Instrument Manager. Restart NinjaTrader and check if you now load data without error.

This is because EUREX has introduced Mini-DAX futures with a point value of 5 Euro versus 25 Euro for the DAX futures. Trading of Mini-DAX futures will start tomorrow.

I believe that the new contract will be liquid right away, as they have designated market makers.
