'Failed to execute DB job' Error Message

I was paper trading this morning, with no problems for the first two hours, then all of a sudden, every time I tried to enter a trade using Chart Trader, I kept getting 'Failed to execute DB job' error messages. I could not enter any trades from that point on and none of my trades would log the trade statistics from that point on.

    Screenshot attached.

    Please advise.

    Hello i2w8am9ii2,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

Please follow the instructions below to repair the NinjaTrader database. (This can take long depending on the size of your database file and your system.)
    • Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via File > Disconnect.
    • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options.
    • Select the 'Data' tab.
    • Press the 'Repair DB' button.
    • Press the 'OK' button.

Please, let us know if this does not resolve your issue.

      Hi Zachary,

If I do a database repair, will I lose the ATM Strategies I created, or my workspaces or templates or anything else?

        Hello i2w8am9ii2,

A database repair will not delete any of your data.

I followed your instructions and at first I got a message saying that the database was successfully repaired, so I pressed the 'OK' button.

Then I saw a dialogue box that said: "Failed to compact DB."

            Screenshot attached.

            Please advise.
