    IQFeed, Daily data not updating for some markets

    Hi,

    I'm experiencing some issues with certain market data from IQFeed.

    For example the HKHI.X and NIK.X (Hang Seng Index and Nikkei 225 Index).

    With the IQFeed Quote app I can see the latest price, but somehow that price isn't showing up on the Ninjatrader chart. On the NIKKEI chart the latest price I can see is 18683.24 from 2 november and in the IQ Quote app I can see the latest price from today (4 november) 18926.91.

    I tried readding the symbol, different session templates, different versions of the IQFeed client, nothing so far solves the issue.

    Could you guys please help me out.

    Could it be that some charts go unresponsive like mentioned in the following post?http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...maximum+charts

    I have about 50 strategies running simultaneously and about 40 open charts.

    However, when I look at my CPU usage, it's very low (not even at 1%).

      Hello Thaimon,

      Thanks for your post.

      Do you see real time data for the instrument within the Orders tab of the Control Center?
      What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.X)
      Do you receive an error on screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

        Thanks for the fast response.

        I'm running version 7.0.1000.26 (64 bit).

        I don't see any errors on screen and I don't see any in the log either.

        Strange enough I do see the real-time data in the Orders tab.

          Under Session Template select Default 24/7
          Select Ok

            I allready tried that several times and reloading the historical data, issue remains.

              Hello Thaimon,

              Thanks for your reply.

              As a test, please take the following steps to force NinjaTrader to start without your saved workspace. You will have the option to reopen these after our tests.

              Shut down NinjaTrader

              Navigate to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces

              Delete the file named "_Workspaces.XML". DO NOT delete the 'workspaces' folder - only delete the '_Workspaces.XML' file within the 'workspaces' folder

              After deleting this file, restart NinjaTrader which should startup without any workspaces.

              Once NinjaTrader has started on just the control center, please open a new chart with no custom bar types/indicators/templates and test for issue.

              *Please note this will not delete your workspace however the new blank workspace will be named Untitled1. If you have a workspace already named Untitled1 however you will not want to save the workspace when exiting NinjaTrader, otherwise it will overwrite it.

              If there are no issues on this new workspace, please try opening the previous workspace by going to File--> Workspaces--> Open workspace.

              If this reintroduces issues, I would suggest rebuilding your workspace, adding 1 indicator at a time. Please keep track of what indicators you add back in so that we can narrow down what indicator is causing the issue if the issue returns. I also suggest making a backup of your workspace so we can restore a backup if the issue returns.

              I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over backing up and restoring.

                Brandon,

                I tried opening the chart on another system (clean, no other charts, indicators or strategies running). Same issue. So I doubt it is workspace related.

                  This morning I reloaded all the charts and suddenly I do see the last prices on each chart....
                  The exchanges are closed now, so I still have to wait and see how the charts will react as soon as the real-time data comes in.

                    Bad News,

                    It is still not updating real-time.

                    Could it have something to do with the daily charts, somehow not updating for some markets?

                    The strange thing is, some charts are updating and others are not.
                    The ones not updating now are NIK.X, HKHI.X.
                    Maybe some other symbols aswell, I still have to wait for some exchanges to open.

                    Please advise.
