Historical Forex data from FXCM

    Historical Forex data from FXCM

    Hi,
    I'm trying out the free demo from FXCM - NinjaTrader.
    Now I have a problem with the Forex tick data from FXCM. The chart is loading put nothing happens.
    With the CDF USOIL I have no problem with the historical and real tick data.

    BTW, with NT8 it is loading the Forex tick data without a problem.

    Any idea?

    Thank you for your post,

    What instrument are you having difficulties loading a chart for?

    In the Orders tab of the Control center, are you able to get bid/ask information for this instrument?

    To test, please reset your instruments, this will ensure that the internal setting for the instruments are up-to-date with server specifications: Disconnect and go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.

    You will need to close and restart NinjaTrader for the settings to take effect.

    I look forward to assisting further.

      Hi Eric,
      actually I have the problem with all Forex pairs.
      What I did is, in days to load I put a 1 in, after 1 hour it loaded the chart.

      I did the reset and restart NT before I let it run.
      But still it needs a long time to load.

      I think the problem is NT7, because the data in NT8 loads in second's

        Thank you for your reply,

        Please go to Tools > Account Connections > Select the FXCM demo and select Change. Press Next and let me know what is selected under the "Historical Data" section.

          Here are a screenshot.
          BTW: now it is loading every add 10 days in data series in about 10 minute.

            Thank you for your post,

            Try switching to the NinjaTrader Severs, press Next twice and Finish to complete the process. Then, disconnect and reconnect and let me know the behavior you see when loading a new chart.
