NT7 Loads and running but no Control Panel or Charts

    Hello ToMer_K,

    Thank you for sharing this workaround. This way NinjaTrader will not try to connect on startup anymore, so NinjaTrader can start successful. You can then connect to the Market Replay or any other connection.

      Not sure if this is the same issue with demo mode...

      I have NT running, according to the Task Manager. The splash screen comes up, then closes.It's not showing in the task bar, nor do I have the Control Center or DOM.

      I uninstalled and reinstalled.

          Can you please send us your Config.xml file so we can disable 'Connect on startup' for you. You can find the Config.xml file at Documents--> NinjaTrader 7. Please attach it in your email. You can send it to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com.

          We are still looking into the issue. Any update regarding the matter will be posted on the forum thread below.

                  Hello,

                  I recently installed the latest version of NT7 after not using it for a couple years. It ran fine for about 5 days and this morning, it will not startup at all. I uninstalled, then reinstalled in a new directory...no luck. Finally, I came here and saw the note about changing the config.xml file to not connect at startup. It was already set to FALSE.

                  I have a limited time software trial going and I really need this platform to RUN...

                  Do you guys have an ETA on a fix?

                    Can you please send us your log and trace files for today, so we can investigate. Log and trace files can be found at the following locations. Please attach the files in your email and send it to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com.

                    Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Log--> log.20151110 for today. (log.yyyymmdd for any other date)

                    Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Trace--> trace.20151110 for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

                      Hi Jason,

                      I just sent the files as requested. I have now modified the config.xml file and NT will start and load charts now. But will still not connect to CQG.

                        I made the edit myself when I saw the workaround posted. I still can't start the platform. It shows up in the processes tab in Task Manager, but the app itself is not running.

                        UPDATE: I didn't edit all of the instances of "startup>" in the xml file. I just fixed that and now the platform opens for me.
