How to stop NT from Auto-Deleting PC Historical Data

    How to stop NT from Auto-Deleting PC Historical Data

    When I open a new chart for YM 12-15 1-Minute data and request 90 days while connected to Kinetick, the chart will open with the data loaded into the chart BUT not into the Historical Data Mgr.

    Then, if I disconnect Kinetick and exit and restart NT. The same 90-day 1 minute YM 12-15 chart is there and loaded with data, AND the Historical Data Mgr has saved the data to my PC.

    If I now close the chart, NT will delete the data from Historical Data Mgr and only leave behind data for the month of Dec.

    I am using NT 7.0.1000.30 and I`ve uploaded a screen scrape of the Tools>Options>Data.

    Can you please tell me how I can stop NT from auto-deleted data from Historical Data Mgr when I close a chart ?

    Hello rayko,

    The Historical Data Manager does not update in real time. This updates when you open the window.

    After downloading data try closing the Historical Data Manager and then re-opening it. Do you see your new data available?

      I have a chart open, YM 12-15 1-min data with 150 days of back data starting from Now. The bars go back to 6/21/2015 from 11/19. I am connected to Kinetick.

      The History Mgr shows data from July - November.

      I then Reload All data.

      The chart shows the same bars and History Mgr shows the same months July - Nov.

      I close History Mgr and re-open it.

      The History Mgr shows the SAME months July- Nov. It does not save the June data.

        What`s even more weird is when I shutdown NT, while asking it to save the workspace and then restart it and NOT reconnect to Kinetick.

        The YM 12-15 chart with 150 days of 1-minute data opens and loads with 150 days of data.

        But the Historical Data Mgr still shows SAME months July- Nov.

        Where is NT getting the data from if not from the Historical Data Mgr ?
        And why is the Historical Data Mgr not updating and saving data ?
