    NT Crashes--sharing violation

    I have been having trouble with NT crashing and restarting. I have sent multiple messages to Platform support via the "mail to platform support" in the Help tab and am yet to receive a response. (However, I selected send copy to myself on the last two and did not receive an email copy so I support you have not received the messages either).

    The "sharing violation" error on startup has existed a little longer than the crashing problem and indicate a another process maybe trying to use the same database.

    (I am unable to COPY and PASTE the error from the dialogue box).

    Could you give me an email so I can send the log and trace files and help me trouble shoot these errors.

    (Resending as NT support forum say I was not logged in though I was. Maybe having trouble with the computer independent of NT but still need help.

    No problem! I would be happy to review your log and trace files and provide some insight. Please send me a note to platformsupport (at) ninjatrader (dot) com. Attach your most current log and trace files to the email, and put a link to this forum post in the body of the email. Please note "ATTN: Drew" in the body of the response.

    You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

    The log file will be named "log.20151119.txt"

    You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

    The trace file will be named "trace.20151119.txt"

      Sharing violation

      Thanks for your (email) help. Still working on it.
      I did create an exception for my anti-virus to not scan the /.../Documents/NinjaTrader/db/ folder. Still an issue but looking elsewhere.

      I was not backing up so will investigate the firewall.
