Cannot enable strategy on live account

    Cannot enable strategy on live account

    Hi

    I have seen this reported before but with no posted resolution.

    I have a strategy which I can select and run in a SIM account but
    whilst i can select the live account, i cannot enable it.

    Background
    1. I have a multibroker license running NT 7.1000.30
    2. Global Sim is unchecked (I am able to see and select the live account)
    3. I cannot enable the strategy if I have the live account selected either from the chart or from the control centre - sim account works fine
    4. I checked the logs and trace and found an issue with serialisation
    5. I reset and repaired the database per advice from other posts, this resolved the serialisation issue but did not resolve my problem

    Current Status
    1. No errors in trace or log
    2. Able to see and select the live account from strategy - Unable to enable strategy
    3. Change account to SIM - Am able to enable it and it runs fine.



    Please help

      Hello,

      Thanks for your post and patience.

      Please send the log, trace & strategy file for the day you ran the strategy. The log file will be found in Documents>Ninjatrader7>Log and will be identified as Log.yyyymmmdd.txt. The trace file will be found in Documents>Ninjatrader7>Trace and will be identified as Trace.yyyy.mm.dd.txt. The strategy file will be located: Documents>NinjaTrader7>bin>custom>strategy

        Thanks Paul. Managed to 'fix' the issue by resetting and repairing the database and resetting ALL the sim accounts including Replay101

          Error Executing Order for Automated Trading - System Disabled

          Dear all,

          I have just put my automated trading strategy into live trade in the past few days.

          Yesterday I had the following error message 3 separate occassions: Unable to execute buy (market) order below last traded price Error Code 206".

          As a result of this the automated strategy switched itself off after each error and I had to re-enable the strategy.

          At the same time, the live simulation account managed to put through the buy market order.

          Would appreciate if someone could advise me:

          a) How to avoid the error code:

          b) WHy does the automated strategy disable itself - I would have to manually enable again which would defeat the purpose of automated trading If I am not at my desk to re-enable it.

            You can find the log files in Documents>NinjaTrader7>Log the file to send will be named Log.20151209.txt
            You can find the trace file in Documents>Ninjatrader7>trace the file to send will be named Trace.20151208.txt
            You can find the strategy file in Documents>Ninjatrader7>bin>custom>strategy the file to send will be the name of your strategy.CS
