Drawings on chart transposed on to another chart

Is it possible if you have two charts of the same security but different time intervals for the drawings on one chart to be automatically included on the other chart .

      Hello fiddy,

      Thanks for your note.

If you are manually drawing objects on a chart, these objects can be shown on another chart by being made global.

Select the drawing object -> right-click the selected object -> select Properties...
Set Attach to: to the instrument name with (All Charts) after it.
For example ES 12-15 1 Min (All Charts).

On each chart of the same instrument (but different bar types and/or intervals) that you would like the drawing objects to appear on ensure that Show global draw objects is set to True.
Right-click the chart -> select Data Series... -> in the Visual section set Show global draw objects to True.

For any charts of the same instrument you do not want the global drawing objects to appear on set this to false.

Below is a link to the help guide on Working with Drawing Tooils and Objects. Please see the section 'Understanding local vs. global drawing objects'.

i have two charts of the same security - one 5 min chart and another daily chart
both charts have drawings show global set to true
when i draw a line on one chart it doesnt appear on the other

Even though i have global set to true -do i still need to
Select the drawing object -> right-click the selected object -> select Properties...
Set Attach to: to the instrument name with (All Charts) after it.

          Hello Eve,

I've made a quick video to demonstrate.

The issue you might be running into is that possibly the end point of the objects are not within the scope of the chart.

            thanks for video Chelsea

i have created an indicator and strategy that places horizontal lines on the charts
as such i dont seem to be able to access the properties whereby you selected ALL Charts option.

is the something you can include in the indicator coding or strategy coding so the any drawings are displayed on all chart

              Hello fiddy,

No, drawing objects made by an indicator cannot be made global. Add the indicator to every chart you want the objects drawn by an indicator on.
