TWS Login Failed -- IB: Can't find Java executable at '...'

    TWS Login Failed -- IB: Can't find Java executable at '...'

    I tried to connect NT7 with TWS. And get the error
    "IB: Can't find Java executable at 'C:\Windows\system32\javaw.exe'. Unable to start TWS.(Panic)"
    How to fix this?

    Hello alexstox,

    1. Locate javaw.exe located in the following directory:
    C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin(Note your version may be different from jre1.8.0_25)
    2. You are going to COPY the javaw.exe file to the 'clipboard' (right-click Javaw.exe and select copy)
    3. Now paste it into the following two directories:
    C:\Windows\System32
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64
    4. Once this is complete, the TWS shortcut on the users desktop will work with no err

      Will this help with such problem, that I get in other PC:

      "IB: IB.Adapter.StartTws: can't find registry key 'jtspath'(Panic)"

        Please ensure you are using a current version of Java. Java is available for download in the link below

          There is latest Java ver. 66. After I copy javaw.exe on Notebook (Windows Vista) - there is the same error as on PC (Windows7)

          "IB: IB.Adapter.StartTws: can't find registry key 'jtspath'(Panic)"

          TWS build 954.2

            Are you able to manually launch Trader Workstation?

            If so, are you then able to connect NinjaTrader to IB?

              No, there is an error as I wrote
              "IB: IB.Adapter.StartTws: can't find registry key 'jtspath'(Panic)"

              TWS Build is 954.2o

                I would recommend contacting Interactive Brokers for assistance with Trader Workstation

                If you are unable to launch Trader Workstation, this indicates the issue with with their software

                  I'm sorry, I was not correct. I mean that I can run TWS but even after run NT7 I can't connect NT7 with TWS. That's correct. I get error as I wrote in previous message.

                      Will TWS_944.3 work with current installed TWS_954 as separate?
