connection with tradestation

Does NT7 connect with tradestation for data? IF not, can I use a Kinectick subscription (non free) with the sim version of NT7 for market replay? Any other ideas for data for using Market replay?

Thank you for your post.

A data connection is not required to access Market Replay. Data can be downloaded even without a connection via the File > Utilities > Download Replay Data menu.

thanks for the information Kyle. Two more questions, does NT7 not connect with TS data? Also, during replay my indicators are not showing up on my charts, is that normal, or should my indicators work as normal?

NinjaTrader can be configured to use TradeStation data. The following link will take you to a page that details the steps required for creating a connection to TradeStation.

In terms of indicators, are at least 20 bars shown on the chart? Most indicators will not display until 20 or more bars are available based on their calculation settings.

Loading historical data from the TradeStation connection (a manual process which is also outlined at the above link) would provide historical values and allow the indicators to begin calculating right away.

Thank you for the post.
Tradestation is a data feed only provider to the NinjaTrader platform. You will only be able to receive live data from Tradestation.

This will not require a license key as Tradestation is not a supported broker for live trading.

Ok, thank you. One more question and I think I already know the answer. If I open up an acct for FX with NT is the platform included with the brokerage acct? Or do I have to buy it seperate and still pay the same broker fees?

This is correct. The TradeStation data connection through the External data feed is no longer supported with NinjaTrader 8.

(The External data feed is still supported, and data can still be pushed through the API, however, there is no longer a setup script written in easy language to setup TradeStation to push data to the NT API. There is no longer a connection guide for this as well.)

You would need to write a script that pushes data to the NinjaTrader API using the NTDirect.dll.

Is the script ninjascript, or easylanguage? If it is easylanguage script, we have them in NT7. Can we use those script of NT7 in NT8 directly?
