Replay Data

Hi All,

Anyone have experience with replay data ?

I did download 3 years back data for 6A instrument. When I connect to market replay connection I can see data only for each day. So for example : start date 17.12.2014 for 6A 03-15 . opening price is 0.8099 at 05:00:00 but I can not see previous data bcs there is only empty chart. If I scroll for next day again I can see only opening price for next day but I can not see previous day data from previous day.

any ideas ?

Hello Jake,

Please note that historical data is not loaded from market replay data, but regular historical data you load from your data feed/broker. The Market Replay connection provides realtime data only. So the 'Days to load' setting in the Data Series menu of the chart will not load market replay data, but historical data you have present in NinjaTrader.

You can find all historical data you have present in NinjaTrader at Control Center-->Tools-->Historical Data Manager-->Edit-tab. If you are missing historical data, please connect to your data feed/broker and load the historical data you need.

One more question.
In historical data manager in section "download" there is start & end date to download minute last data for current 6a 03-16 contract. If i want to download historical data for 6a 03-15 contract do i need add in instrument manager specific contract for download historical data ? Or with current contract 6a 03-16 will be downloaded all previous historical data meaning i don't need to swap contract expire dates (03-15 > 06-15 > 09-15 > 12-15) to each rollover contract ?

You do not have to change instruments, only the start and end dates.
