    candlestick display glitch

This isn't so much a question as an observation. Please see the two attached files. Ninjatrader seems to have a problem keeping candlesticks the same width when you zoom in and scale out of a chart. This is ugly (and unprofessional, IMHO) and needs to be fixed. Never seen this problem with any other charting package.

Thanks, Kyle. I can't be the only one who sees this as a problem, but I'm surprised nobody else commented.

I do not think that this is a glitch or problem.

In the contrary I think that it is a valuable feature.

If the candle width did not auto-adjust, candles would overlap when zooming out.

I am glad that this feature was maintained for NinjaTrader 8.

And yes, other charting programs have the same feature.

There is no reason to complain about it.

Harry, you are completely misunderstanding. Of course the candlesticks have to adjust their width as the chart is scaled in and out. That's not what I'm complaining about. The problem is that, in Ninjatrader, they are not scaling uniformly. Some candlesticks wind up being tiny sticks (see my charts) while others are much fatter. It's the lack of uniformity that's the visual problem. The skinny ones tend to disappear, creating visual anomalies that are misleading, and make it difficult to read the price action. Of course, if you're relying on automated trading, you wouldn't give a damn, but for those of us who rely on our eyes and our understanding of price action, it is critically important to understand each and every bar, how it forms and how it relates to surrounding bars. You lose that ability when some candlesticks disappear into thin, non-descript lines.
