Is it possible to plot time and prices from Excel on my NT chart?

Hello everyone,

This may be somewhat of an advanced question and maybe it better belongs in some other category.

Anyway, let's say that I have a statistical projection for the high and low of the first two hours of the trading day plotted in Excel.

For instance, it may look like this for two entries:

09:30
1947,25
1939

10:30
1945,00
1937,50

Here, we have timings on top and then High/Low respectively below that. I'd like to have thsese price levels drawn on my chart. Of course, I could simply draw this by hand.

But is there a way I could automate the drawing of this projection in Excel? It could be either a horizontal line or dots?

I realize perhaps this is something I need to program as an indicator, but any help towards that or otherwise would be appreciated a lot.

This would involve custom programming.

What you could do is create an indicator that utilizes StreamReader to read from a file and use the data from this file.

Is this something you think I could be able to do on my own or should I expect to hire someone for the job?

I have a few friends who program, so perhaps I could ask them if it's not very complicated.

Tackling it on your own or enlisting the help of your friends would be up to you. NinjaScript is based on the C# programming language; if any of your friends are familiar with C#, they may be able to assist.

I would also take a look at LINQ2Excel library for reading excel or CSV files easily. You have the power of .NET LINQ to query the data.
