Just updated new NT7 can't connect to Continuum

    Users on Windows XP and Vista that upgrade to 7.0.1000.31 will be unable to verify the license until the file at the following link is downloaded and installed.



    Save the file to your Desktop, right click on the file, and select Install CRL

    Once complete you can start NinjaTrader

      Hi Jason, after installing the CRL in February everything worked fine, used NT 7.0.1000.31 frequently without any issues.
      UNTIL TODAY, I got the message "ERROR "Failed to verify license..."
      I reinstalled the CRL you provided, without success.
      Please have a look....thank's in advance.

        Hello anett,

        The license server is up and running. Can you please try a reset of your modem/router first and check if this will make a difference.

        Are you wireless connected? If so, please hard wire your computer to your modem/router if possible.

        How many devices do you have connected to your modem/router? Is NinjaTrader able to connect to the license server if less devices are connected to your modem/router?

            Hi again... here are my results.
            1) Reset, connected via cable.
            2) Tried out a second connection via mobile network modem
            3) Completly removed NT7 and re-installed old version 30. (not working anymore.)
            4) Newly installed NT7 31
            ...unfortunately I always got the error message, regardless what I tried out.
            5) and every time I reinstalled your CRL file too.

              It appears this is occurring with many of our clients who use WIndows XP. We are currently researching a solution. I will update this post when I have more information.

                UPDATE
                if I use the link from page: http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ad.php?t=82545
                and install the similar CRL file, NT7 .31 finally works.
                Using the link provided on this page resulting in the error message.
                Only difference I can see, the working link to the CRL file is from 03-13-2016, 10:43 PM,
                the older link, provided here, does not work.
                Hope I can help your team to find the real reason on this confusing situation for XP users.

                  Here are the official steps for your reference:

                  Microsoft has dropped support for Windows XP and Server 2003 resulting in updated certificates not being supplied. NinjaTrader is dropping support for these operating system and it is recommended to upgrade to a supported operating system.

                  There is a temporary manual install of security certifications available for those of you who will not have immediate access to an updated operating system.

                  You will need to download the zip file from the link below and extract it to your Desktop.

                  http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/files/WinXP_GoDaddy-Certs.zip

                  First, install the three .crt files. To install these files, double-left click and choose "install certificate", follow the prompts to continue, then close the install window once completed -
                  • gd_bundle-g2.crt
                  • gdig2,crt
                  • gdroot-g2.crt

                  Next, install the three .crl files. To install these file, right-click on the file and select "Install CRL". NOTE: some of these may take up to a minute to install, You will always receive a confirmation box when the installation is complete -
                  • gdroot2-g2.crl
                  • mastergodaddy2issuing.crl
                  • mastergodaddyextendedissuing.crl

                  After these steps the license should verify
