    Stop Limit Orders

    Is it possible to set StopLimit orders instead of stopmarket orders when using ATM strategies such as in Auto BreakEven and Auto trail

    Thank you for your post.

    Yes, this is possible - please right click in the window where you are submitting your orders and select Properties. In the Properties menu the 'Use Stop Market for Stop Loss orders' property can be set to False if you wish to submit Stop Limit orders as Stop Loss orders when ATM Strategies used.

      thanks Kyle, if you want a ATM strategy to only have stop and trailing stop etc and no profit target do you just set profit target to zero?

        Hello fiddy,

        Yes, that is correct - if you do not wish to submit a Profit Target order this setting should use a zero value.

          hi kyle, i have set 'Use Stop Market for Stop Loss orders' to false but the orders being submitted by the ATM for stop orders still seems to be stop orders

            I'd be happy to investigate this matter further. To do this, please send me a note to platformsupport (at) ninjatrader (dot) com. Attach your most current log and trace files to the email, and put a link to this forum post in the body of the email. Please note "ATTN: Drew" in the body of the response.

            You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

            The log file will be named "log.20160208.txt"

            You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

            The trace file will be named "trace.20160208.txt"

                Though I may be mistaken, as this was over a week ago that this thread was created. I believe we are awaiting the log and trace files on my end.
