Charts for CHIX Australia (from IB) not working?

Hi,

I have a ChiX Australia subscription and can view quotes in the order tab, but I can't seem to load historical data?

What settings do I need in the Instrument Manager for this?

Using the ASX Exchange gives back a Not Subscribed error for ASX STK, which is correct, I'm not subscribed to ASX.

Changing the mapping to, for example NAB|CHIXAU gives back a No security definition has been found for the request.

Unfortunately our IB account is not setup for such data, so I cannot test it. What do you type in TWS to add this instrument?

If you receive realtime data, something must be setup correctly or else you would not receive any data at all. Do you receive realtime data with both settings you describe?

Hi Jason,

The symbols are the same between the ASX and Chi-X Australia (as they're traded on both) So NAB is all I type. The data is live in TWS. I'm not sure if there's a hidden field in TWS that would let me specify specifically ASX or Chi-X data?

And yes, the quote seemed to work for both of those settings.

Do you have Currency set to AustralianDollar for this stock?

I assume you have the Default and Asx exchange enabled in the Definition-tab.

If you type "NAB CHIXAU" on your keyboard while a NinjaTrader chart is active and hit Enter, do you load historical data?

axyl21 NT 7.0 not work correct with Chix, they add only in NT 8.0

I have problem with european Chix-DE in NT 7.0, historycal data download, but not have RT data, for example ticker DCX|CHIXDE

If you want, try test this direct ticker NAB|CHIXAU in NT 8.0

I don't see any historical data. I can load the prompt and enter that symbol, pressing enter just closes the window and doesn't appear to do anything.

(Is that the Data Series window?)

If I check the Ninja Trader Log though, it says Error on loading chart data for 'NAB Default'. Error in requesting historical data from IB: No security definition has been found for the request.

I do have the symbol set to AUD.

I have european Chix free, NT 8.0 correct work with this exchange ( ECN ), if use direct route ticker.

Can you please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instruments and click "add". This will open a new window to setup the instrument.

Set Currency to Australian Dollar and enable the Asx exchange.

Please enter NAB|CHIXAU as symbol map and check if this will work for you.

Jason may be problem that I not see CHIXAU for NAB, may be not trade this ticker in chixau or this may restriction in data, I not subcribe on chixau

That hasn't worked in Ninja Trader 7. I'll try Ninja Trader 8 and see if I get different results.

axyl21 if you tape NAB in TWS and select Stock(Direct) you can see CHIXAU ?

If not see, that this ticker not trade in ChixAU, if can see try NT 8.0 may be they work with ChixAU
