Stuck on Saving or Loading Data

I sent an email to support but didn't even get an auto-reply so I'm posting here in case your email server is down or slow.

After starting up NT it will start "Loading Data" for the Market Analyzers and Charts I have open even if I'm not connected to Esignal. I guess it gets it from the cache.

At some point it will get stuck on Saving Data or Loading data either before or after I connect.

The Resource manager will show 0% CPU or disk activty.

If I click on the Red X to shutdown the application that may kick start it for a while but if I click on Cancel to abort shutting down then the "Loading Data" stops.

On previous issues like this clicking on Shutdown and then cancel would clear the issue but not today(Not that having to Click on Shutdown is acceptable in the first place!)

I have restarted NT several times and I always get stuck before or after Connecting. Usually restarting fixes it.

I tried Repairing the DB but that didn't seem to help.

There are no bad logs that I can see except for one exception that was caused when I was shutting down while it was Aborting Loading Data.

Why is it regularly doing this???

Last time I was told to send Logs and Trace files so I've attached them here.

I see I uploaded the wrong Log file. The Trace file is correct. I will upload or email it when I return home but it didn't show anything useful from what I could tell.

We would need a reproducible scenario in order to analyze.
      - is this issue reproducible?
      - if it is, then we would need
      * zipped DB
      * workspace files in <my documents>/NinjaTrader6.5/workspaces folder

      Thanks

Has this issue been reported before?

Which file(s) in the DB directory? Those seem quite large. Do you have an FTP server to send this to?

You didn't mention anything about the Custom Indicators or Market Analyzers? I don't think the workspaces will be of any use without this.

Can you give me a complete list please?

What exactly is stored in the DB? Can I recreate the DB to "clean" things up?

Is there anything you can suggest in the mean time?

          >> Has this issue been reported before?
          no

Please send files by Help->Mail to support (see option to attach DB).

          Workspaces files are mandatory.

Delete file <my documents>/NinjaTrader6.5/db/NinjaTrader.mdb. Note: all your historical trade and chart data will be lost.

Suggesting that I delete <my documents>/NinjaTrader6.5/db wasn't such a good idea!!!!! Now NT won't start!!!!!!!

Does anybody else have any suggestions?

By the way, "Help->Mail to support" doesn't work. Specifically what files/directories are needed?

Did you delete the whole folder? Try manually recreating the folder. The folder structure is
              • /NinjaTrader 6.5/db
              • /NinjaTrader 6.5/db/data
              • /NinjaTrader 6.5/db/Export
              • /NinjaTrader 6.5/db/Import

Actually the better approach is to uninstall NT via control panel and to reinstall.

Yes I deleted the whole folder since that's what I was told.

Luckily I backed up the entire <my documents>/NinjaTrader6.5 directory before messing around.

It looks for the .mdb file on startup and complains if it's not there.

Please proceed as per my post #8 and do not manually copy around files/directories.
