    pending orders while NT disconnected

Hello. Probably this is a frequent question. I know that with a demo account you need to have the NT connected if you want your orders to be filled. But, is this the same with a live account? I would like to put my order, shut down the Ninja and just let my orders do the job. So when I open the Ninja again I can see the results.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

As you are aware, NinjaTrader needs to keep running during the course of a trade when trading in the Sim101 account because all orders are processed on the local PC. When trading live, it is likely that your orders will instead reside on broker/exchange servers however. This means that the PC would not need to keep running for the order to execute.

Where orders reside depends on the broker you are trading with and the state of the order. Order state is shown in the Orders tab of the Control Center under the State column. An overview of where orders reside by broker can be found at this link: http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ead.php?t=5349

If other questions come up which I could assist with please let me know.
