Possible to see how much longer an Optimization will take?

Hello

While running an Optimization in Ninjatrader's Strategy Analyzer I can see in the bottom right hand corner of the Control Center a verification that the Optimization is running (as shown in the area circle in Red in attached screenshot 1.jpg).

However, I'm wondering if there is a way to see any indication of how much longer the Optimization will take to complete?
For instance, can I see something similar to the image in attached screenshot 2.jpg?

Hello again,

Here is an update to my first post.

I removed a few of the Optimization parameters (so that the Optimization would not have to calculate as many scenarios) and restarted the Optimization. It is now giving me an estimate of how much longer the Optimization will take, as shown in the bottom right attached screenshot 3.jpg

Any idea why my first Optimization did not give me an estimate on how long it would take?
Perhaps there was a setting I didn't realize I had on during the first Optimization that caused the issue?

Thank you for writing in.

There is no setting to enable or disable the time estimate of when an optimization will be finished.

It may be possible the optimization was "stuck" on one of the properties it was attempting to optimize.

Are you able to reproduce this again when adding the optimization parameters back?

What do you mean exactly by "struck" in the sentence?

It may be possible that the optimizer was unable to move beyond optimizing a certain parameter, which is why an estimated time to completion did not appear.

What particular properties were you attempting to optimize over?

Can you provide a sample that shows this behavior so I may test on my end?

To export your script do the following:

1. Click File -> Utilities -> Export NinjaScript
2. Enter a unique name for the file in the value for 'File name:'
3. Select the strategy from the objects list on the left -> click the right facing arrow ">" to add the strategy to the export
4. Click the 'Export' button -> click 'yes' to add any referenced indicators to the export -> click OK to clear the export location message

By default your exported file will be in the following location:

• (My) Documents/NinjaTrader 7/bin/Custom/ExportNinjaScript/<export_file_name.zip>

Thanks for the info Zack. I don't remember the strategy setting that caused this. However, I upgraded to a more powerful computer and the problem seems to have gone away. I'll message you here if it comes back.
