Unable to get data

Hi,

I have an account at Lynx which is linked to IB Brokers. I'm trying to load data (240min chart), But I don't seem to get passed a certain point 12/10/2015. When I try to reload the chart and set the end date to 8-8-2015, I still gives data between 12/10/2015 and now. How can I get more data?

With CQG I have the same problem.

Also I get a pacing violation when trying to load more the 250 days of 4H charts. How can upgrade this?

What instrument are you attempting to load data for from before August 8th 2015?

Just to confirm, with CQG connected and Interactive Brokers disconnected, you are getting a blank chart when setting the End date in the Data Series window to 8/8/2015, is this correct?

May I have a screenshot of the Data Series window as it currently is?


Regarding the error historical data request pacing violation error, unfortunately this error message comes from IB and informs you that you requested too much historical data. This is a limitation of IB and there is no workaround. You will need to reduce the amount of historical data that is being loaded.
Please wait 5 minutes and you will be able to request additional historical data again.

You can also choose supplementary data with Kinetick.

Hi,

I'm trying to load DAX data for backtesting. I have the same problem when trying to load data in the strategy analyzer.

Is there a free Market data provider for 4H charts? It's a bit much to pay 50$ a month for some data I only need to download once.

Hello Robert87,

You have your end date set to 8-3-2016. Did you meant to have your date set to 8-3-2015?

Your connection shows as connected to Kinetick. Are you connected to Kinetick End Of Day (Free)? If so, this connection does not provide minute data for any instruments.

Are you connected to a paid subscription of Kinetick?
(This data is available from a paid subscription to Kinetick)

The ^DAX index is not available to CQG. You will not get any data from CQG with the ^DAX index. (CQG does have future data for the FDAX and DAX mini but does not have the ^DAX index).
