    Many Orders?

    Hi,

NT7 seems to break up my orders into many many orders, as well as breaking up my stop losses and profit targets. Attached is a screenshot from the IB interface for just a single order that NT7 placed. The order quantity was 1873 and the ETF that I'm trading has more than enough volume to support my order.

Won't this make the commissions skyrocket due to base commission per trade? Is there a way to stop this? I do not have 'enforce partial fills' checked in the simulator (though I'm using a live account anyway and not the simulator).

    Thanks,

    Zuhayr

    Hello zuhayr123,

You will want to contact your broker for information on commission

NinjaTrader does not fill your live orders. Your broker could give you further information on how your live orders are being filled

      Hi,

No, it is NT7 that is placing these many orders. Attached is a screenshot from NT7's 'Executions' window to show this. There was only one single order placed via my script, but NT7 broke it up into many orders for some reason.

Please let me know how to change this.

      Thanks,

      Zuhayr

        Hello Zuhayr,

NinjaTrader does not fill your live orders

If you feel the script is placing orders incorrectly you can contact the developer of the strategy

          Hi,

I'm not asking about fills. I'm asking about why multitudes of order placements made by NT7 and how to make it submit only a single order.

My script has 'Entries per direction' set at 1, now when the script enters long, it places many orders to reach the order quantity *even though* entries per direction is set at 1.

When I enter manually via the broker's interface, there is a single order placed.

          E.g.

Manual - Buy 5000. 1 order is placed at market for 5000 shares.

NT7 - Buy 5000. 50 orders of 100 are placed at market to reach 5000 shares.

It has nothing to do with my broker as far as I know.

My strategy is a simple EnterLong strategy that buys at market when certain conditions are met. I don't understand why so many orders are being placed.

          Thanks,

          Zuhayr
