ATM and the standard 20 ticks StopLimit

    Hello all,

currently I'm trading contracts on Nybot. When I try to place an ATM bracket order then NinjaTrader automatically places a StopLimit order with a limit 20 ticks away from the StopPrice. Now Nybot only supports a limit of 15 ticks from the Stop level. So when I place the order I get an error message about an invalid price range.
Is it possible to change this to 15 ticks when trading Nybot conracts? If not maybe this is an suggestion for a further NT version.

    Thanks and greetings,

    Oliver

Can you try to use a stop market order? You can set this in the order entry window you use properties section. Set the "Use stop market for stop loss" to true. Before you do this, please upgrade to NT 6.5 R4 available on the website. I beleive (can't remember) I changed some settings in this area. Let me know if this works.

      Hello Ray,

Nybot only supports StopLimit orders, regular StopLoss (Market) orders are not supported, so the standard setting of NT with StopLimit would be perfect (besides the 20 ticks setting).

      Greetings,

      Oli

        Ray,

I just installed the new version .4, there is a "Stop Limit offset" option where you can set the range - PERFECT!

        Thanks!!

        Cheers,

        Oliver

          Hello Ray,

I just tried to place a custom ATM-strategy on the Nybot cocoa contract. These are my settings:

          StopLoss: 20
          TakeProfit: 30

In the properties of the SuperDOM I set the "StopLimit offset" to 15.

So when I placed a MarketSell order with the above ATM setting I exspected that NinjaTrader placed a StopLimit order with a StopLevel of 20 ticks away from the average sell price and a Limit level of 15 ticks away from the Stop price level.
But this didnt work out as NinjaTrader tried to place a StopLimit order with a difference of 20 ticks between Stop- and Limit- level and therefore got rejected from Nybot.

Maybe you can take another look into this!

          Thanks and cheers,

          Greetings,

          Oliver

Did you try post my instructions with post #2? Stop limit offset is for entry orders not for stop loss orders.

            Thanks

              Hello Ray,

yes, I installed the new .4 version, but I cant use StopMarket orders as Nybot does not support this.
Is there anything else you want me to try?

              Greetings,

              Oliver

Nothing left to try, this is then a limitation at this time. What broker technology is this through?
