ES 06-16 shows no data on 3/18 (tick and volume chart)

Hi - I have three charts open, both w/ ES 06-16:

    1) Time chart shows 3/18 as normal
    2) Volume chart doesn't show 3/18 at all
    3) Tick chart doesn't show 3/18 at all

Can you please help look into this and advise?

Is there some setting I need to check on my tick or volume charts, or is the data missing on quadruple witching day?

    Thanks

    Hello jtrading82,

Can you please tell me to what broker or data feed you connect in NinjaTrader.

Do you load the missing data if you right click in the chart and you select 'Reload All Historical Data'?

      Hi Jason,

      1) CQG
      2) No
      3) I should have mentioned 3/17 and 3/20 data shows, but not 3/18

        Thank you for clarifying.

Can you please disconnect CQG and go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab, click Repair DB. Restart NinjaTrader and check if the ES 06-16 tick and volume charts load the missing data.

If the issue remains, please exit NinjaTrader and go to Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db and delete the entire cache folder. Start NinjaTrader and check again.

Thank you, can you give a brief summary of why this occurs and how I can prevent it in the future? How often does cache need to be cleared, and what is stored in the cache?

Unfortunately I am not sure what caused the issue, so I am not sure how it can be prevented. Did you experience such an issue before? If so, do you notice any consistencies between the occurrences?

The cache folder is used to quickly load data in chart windows - the actual data is saved in the tick, minute and day folders. The first time you load data after deleting the db-->cache folder, it will take a little longer to load than usual. Once all data is loaded, it will load data quickly again. If the issue recurs in the future, you could try deleting the db-->cache folder again to solve it.
